Robbie is Co-Director and founder of D-Lux Arts. D-Lux is an artist-led, not-for-profit organisation that encourages artists and the public to explore new ways to use Dumfries’ central public spaces through the use of light and play.
In 2019, 2020 and 2021 D-Lux developed Arcade, focusing on mental health, wellbeing and gaming, with installations, discussion and lighting up of the town with giant, building-sized video projections of much loved new, classic and retro video games.
The work of D-Lux work supports ongoing town-centre regeneration efforts, Dumfries’ night-time economy, and develops the local creative events production workforce.
D-Lux provides free, open and specially arranged art-making sessions to the public, and paid training, development and work experience opportunities for young people in creative, technical, events management and production roles.
Other Directors are John Wallace, an award winning filmmaker and video artist; David Smith, film producer and creative entrepreneur, Sal Cuddihy and Cara MacNaught.
