Environmental Arts Festival Scotland

Robbie is co-curator of The Environmental Arts Festival Scotland: The Environmental Arts Festival Scotland.

The Environmental Arts Festival Scotland is an evolving idea. Held collectively amongst a community interested in the relationship between creativity, landscape, land and people. EAFS delivered two very successful international Environmental Art Festivals in Dumfries and Galloway in 2013 and 2015. The impact of the 2013 and 2015 festivals continues through the practice of many of the artists involved, with ideas, skills and philosophies being shared across arts and environmental organisations. The practice is immersive, grounded and outward looking.  The region is well placed to become an important context for local and global conversations through these ground breaking connected practices and the people who live and work here.

For EAFS 2013. Jo and Robbie created a number of works for the Dark Skies Park including a hyper local radio broadcast and site specific lecture by Scotland’s Astronomer Royal. They also created The Archivist’  a performance installation that explored some of the ideas submitted to EAFS
